To add to that, hardly ever a slide lock and when it did I Usually on the last round I will have a failure to feed where the slide will close on the round stuck like this. The round jams at an upward angle partially in the chamber. Pulling back the slide a fraction of an inch and releasing it usually feeds the round. I think they overspring the ejectors springs and they need to loosen up a bit. Unlike traditional 2011's where you can just fix the problem by tuning the extractor, the x9 uses an external extractor. The P938 is meant to be carried C&L'ed and the effort required to take it off safe is more than adequate to carry safely. I have had my SAS for over a year and it shoots well and the only failure I can recall was a feed failure on round # 49. Other than that it has been perfect. It is my carry pistol and I am pretty much 100% pocket carry. The reason being that I had done two combat courses with the Glock and after a few thousand rounds no misfires or failure to feed, and only had to get a solid grip, draw the pistol and fire on target.
